Cataract
What is a Cataract?
A cataract is when the natural lens of your eyes becomes cloudy. We use our natural lens to see and focus. Most cataracts develop with advancing age, typically between ages 60-80. People with cataracts see the world as if through a dirty window, making daily activities more difficult.

Evaluation and Management
Our doctors will evaluate your natural lens and determine the presence of a cataract and severity. If it is determined that a cataract is significantly impacting your vision then cataract surgery may be necessary. Cataract eye surgery is a very common and medically necessary procedure to remove and replace the eye’s natural lens when the vision has been clouded by a cataract. Our eye doctors will work closely with your cataract surgeon to ensure you have the best visual outcome.
